Dan Ruck has been honing his skills as a House Music DJ since his first pair of belt drives in 1996.
Hugely influenced by the mid 90’s U.K House scene, which showcased and helped pioneer many of our U.S House legends.
His passion for house music has allowed him to dj in places such as San Francisco, L.A, San Diego, Orlando and Miami and closer to home in cities like, Manchester,Newcastle,Dublin, Leeds and continues to support the local house scene in his home town of Huddersfield.
Rucky’s sound is often deep, tuff, and sometimes jazzy.. but always underground!
Hudd Traxx, and Smoke City Music co founder, and aside from his collaborations with Danny and Eddie as Slum Science… He has also written solo tracks for Belgium’s Deep Future, and Hudd Traxx sister label “Smoke City Music.”
Slum Science music has featured on various house labels such as Jackin Tracks, Black Cherry, Goodfamily, Hudd Traxx, and has received support from many of the respected DJ’s in the industry.
Most recent production work includes collaborations with fellow Slumster Danny White in the form of ‘Non Believers’.
Non Believers eps have featured on Hudd Traxx and Smoke City Music.. Check out Non Believers track “Stasera”’ taken from ‘The Fatherhudd ep’ on Hudd Traxx, which features on Mark Farina’s 2008 Fabric compilation.
