Lee Daley started his music ambitions from humble beginnings at the age of 12 buying bargain (10 for £1) record packs from his weekly paper round money! From there he got involved with local youth groups playing parties which soon progressed into him running his own mobile disco “Back2theFutre Disco’s”
Lee got his first break when a family friend opened a roller rink and at the age of 14 he became resident at the rink and cut his teeth mixing on a big system to large crowds on a weekly basis.

After three years at the rink he moved on to seek out bigger opportunities and spent a year studying music production at Manchester Midi School. Around that time at a random rave Lee met a couple of girls who were promoting a successful Friday night afterhours club In the city centre. A mix CD later and Lee had been confirmed as the nights “Deeper house” resident. After one of the girls running the party left Lee got involved with the promotion of the night.

From there the night had another two successful years with parties across Manchester at venues including: Mantos, Paradise factory, Elemental and Presha. Whilst the party was running the night grew from strength to strength with international and local guests packing the club out every Friday.

Unfortunately after 4 years the night finished due to local council officials enforcing a ban on late night parties. Instead of giving up on his ambitions to DJ and promote Lee teamed up with another of the “Afterhours” residents “Dan McGlynn” to start a production partnership under the name “FraidSo.”

What started out as one wonky bootleg has now turned into many successful releases and remixes on a lot of the most popular underground house labels including: Robsoul recordings, Imprint music, Streetlight, Lost my Dog, tastie music and a number one charted release for greenhouse recordings.

Since the first release FraidSo have toured across Europe and played many memorable parties in: Belguim, Thailand, Norway, London, Nottingham and many gigs in Lee’s home town of Manchester.

FraidSo are still working on tracks and Lee has now set up his own home studio and has a handful of tracks ready to release later in the year……
